Baby Shealeys' Shower!!

A couple weekends ago we attended a baby shower for our great friends Matt and Rebecca.. Their little baby girl is due on March 26th... *Which I have informed them that she will be an angel because only the best are born on that date.. Haahmmm my birthday*... Anyways, it was a first for many of us, since the shower was a Jack & Jill Baby Shower!!.. Shawn and his brother both were thrilled BUT ended up having a fantastic time... Here are a few snapshots of the day!!

Snow/Sand.... man..

A couple of weekends ago we were in Myrtle Beach for a conference... It just so happened that it SNOWED while we were there. Snow blah we have seen it every year of our lives hence one of the major bonuses of living in South Carolina INSTEAD of New York!!... Regardless it snowed and I must admit, it was really quite cool!! We headed straight for the beach (and blistering wind/cold) and took a couple of snapshots!!

The Ultimate Sign of DEFEAT

So our little cuddly, fuzzy buddy... Is not cuddly (unless on his own terms, close to NEVER) and NEVER, EVER wants to be held.. Well due to this fact Shawn and I constantly try to get him to be the opposite of this, which usually ends up with Ziggy running and hiding somewhere dark!!.. WELL for the past three years we have tried a multitude of different tactics to try and get him in his cage (when traveling).. It usually ends with Shawn on one side of the bed, me on the other and on the count of three one of us pushes him out one way from under the bed and the other snatches him up... Well Mr. Ziggy we have your number and have gotten very creative.. We now close all doors, block off the stairway and as one chases him around the first floor one of us patiently waits on the stairs for Ziggy to try one more time to go up the stairs... By that point he knows it is cage time and snuggles for all it is worth!!!

And it WORKS!!!...

As we slowly (but steadily) unpack our lives in our new home we have come across some things that we do not love so much!! One thing brought to our attention was the amount of noise that came from our ever grumbling dishwasher! Not that it was an absolute necessity but we ventured into getting a new one...






Through this process I have learned to be very patient with my, commonly known as "unhandy", "handy" husband!! I am very proud that he is attempting new things and along with that he has a great pride glow around him when he accomplishes a task! With that said he installed our new dishwasher with only a little bit of frustration!.. So I introduce to you our new and improve WORKING, QUIET Dishwasher!!

And we bought a HOUSE!!!

Just a little update... Every time I post I swear I am going to keep up with it.. Well now I have some topics to keep up with.. Shawn and I closed and started to move in to our first home on November 23, 2009... We immediately started to move things in.. It would not have been possible without our great friend Brett.. I will do another posting soon of all the updates we are doing to the house.. But welcome to our brand new journey of being first time homeowners!!.. And oh what a journey it has been already!!! I hope you join us for the crazy road!!

Slacker....

I am desperately wanting to get back into my blogging entries... With the craziness called life... This has been extremely difficult!!.. But I do want to share with all of you the many changes in our life... I have taken the first steps into getting back on board... More changes to come later... Off to decorate our enormous tree and paint our bathroom!!... Hopefully the next time you hear from me it won't be in over a month!!!

Just some favorites!!

I just thought that I would post some of our favorite pictures from our special day!!.. There are really no words to describe what that day was for us. We shared it with so many important and loving people to us but in the same aspect some of the only moments we remember (without the help of pictures or video) are the ones that we were the most together!.. My favorite part was right before our vows Shawn just looked at me, smiled and said "As long as you're smiling I will be Okay"... I think I will remember that exact moment for all of my life!! I love my husband (and we have decided that it is still weird to refer to each other as spouses!!)... We are have an incredible beginning journey into married life!!!
